The River Dolphin lives in the freshwater of the Amazon and Orinoco river and tributaries. Names to describe this species include: Amazon River Dolphin, Boto Vermelho, Boto Cor-de-Rosa, Bouto, Inia geoffrensis, Pink Dolphin, Wee Quacker, Pink Freshwater Dolphin, Pink Porpoise, Tonina and Encantado.This species tends to occur alone or in pairs, and it rarely jumps out of the water.
